This Is The Story.

Karnage Asada food trucks started as the brainchild of Marty & Donna Oard in 2013. These two home-chefs foresaw an opportunity and took what they knew about marketing, project management, logistics, beer and sheer hustle to become the fastest growing brand in food trucks Virginia ever saw. They closed down the trucks in late 2018 to pursue other passions.

Being native Southern Californian's they understood that there was a niche opportunity for fresh "on-the-go" flash fried tacos, chips, and even burritos. Partnering with breweries, such as Young Veterans Brewery and O'Connor Brewery, they started the "fusion revolution" with tacos and beer. They began sitting outside Thursday nights at Smartmouth Brewery in Ghent and were a staple at First Fridays in Downtown Norfolk. Soon they were honored to be named one of the top 50 food trucks in America. All this time, Marty worked his full time government contracting position and Donna continued to run the family business as well as manage their rental properties.

After branding two food trucks it was a family decision that Marty and Donna move on to other adventures. Always looking to the future, they decided to sell the trucks and continue to personally rest, grow, and help others reach their goals and objective. The trucks and equipment have been sold and you can find the Oards at breweries enjoying their friends and having a beer now. This website is now the personal brand of Marty and Donna Oard. If you would like to contact either of them you may do so through the company email. Oh, they would also love to sell this website, recipes, and brand. They still own it.

About Us

For the past couple of years, Marty & Donna have been closing down the food trucks and taking it pretty easy. Marty has always worked his full time position as Chief, Logistics & Maintenance Support at BMT Designers and Planners. He is still working there and continues to support his company recruiting the best possible candidates for many positions throughout the area. If you or anyone is ever looking for a position, it is always best to send Marty your resume as he has recruited more than one person from the food truck. Just look for him on Linkedin or at moard@bmtdp.com

Donna is still in the rental property business, including AirBnb and a house in South Norfolk. She is also a certified Executive Life Coach to help others pursue their goals. Her niche is 2nd Act woman who want to leave a legacy for their families.

They still enjoy the dock, their family, their dogs and cat, brunch, beer, cooking and of course - Jesus. They spend a lot of time spreading His message and helping out wherever and whenever they can.

Please note:

We do not refer trucks anymore. Thanks you.
